Description: The Coastal Nonpoint Pollution Control Program (CNPCP) Management Area was determined using the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (co-lead for Louisiana’s CNPCP) 6 digit subsegment sub-watersheds and delineated by incorporating the subsegments sub-watersheds that:occur within the Louisiana Coastal Zone boundary;are adjacent to the Louisiana Coastal Zone boundary; and/oroccur in the Louisiana Coastal Wetlands Conservation Plan boundary, of which “The northernmost Plan designated boundary overlaps the Coastal Zone Boundary, falling in and outside of that boundary as determined by the inland limit of tidally-influenced fresh marsh and bald cypress/tupelo gum swamps” (Louisiana Coastal Wetlands Conservation Plan, May 1997, p.7)
Description: This dataset was derived from the 5 meter resolution statewide LIDAR and the 1 meter resolution Atchafalaya Basin LIDAR. These datasets are known to be accurate to +/- 6 inches of the actual elevation. This information does not superceded the need for a site survey to determine the requirement for a Coastal Use Permit.
